Prevention is Better than Cure
Identifying problems early and monitoring issues like tooth wear, gum recession and crowding is now predictable with our digital health assessment protocol.
We use near-infrared imaging (NIRI) technology to scan the internal structure of your teeth in real time. The iTero Element 5D scanner allows us to monitor and detect inter proximal cavities during routine health assessments, without the need for harmful radiation.
By taking a 3D scan at every dental health check we can also monitor small changes in your mouth using the TimeLapse feature on our iTero scanner.

Clean teeth and fresh breath
We recommend that you see us at regular intervals so that we can monitor your oral health. A very important part of this is visiting the Dental Hygienist. Our team of Dental Hygienists will not only make your teeth sparkly clean, they will also educate and recommend the products that might benefit you. They will also assess your gum health status at every appointment to make sure problems such as gum disease are detected early, therefore helping you to prevent tooth loss or more comprehensive treatments.
Early protection
A fissure sealant is a protective plastic coating, which is applied to the biting surface of the back teeth. The sealant forms a hard protective shield that helps prevent tooth decay in the tiny grooves of the tooth.
Fluoride varnishes may offer a significant benefit to protect teeth. These treatments can be beneficial to people at risk of tooth decay, but may not be right for everyone.
Be active, but protect your teeth
If playing sport involving physical contact ( e.g. rugby and martial arts ) or moving objects ( e.g. hockey and cricket), wearing a professional custom made mouthguard will help prevent damage to your teeth and jaw.
Reduce tooth pain, wear and sensitivity with a custom made Night Guard
With stress levels at an all time high, we do not often think about the effects this can have on our teeth. Grinding and clenching is some of the manifestations of stress that we often see. This can cause excessive wear on the teeth, chipping of teeth and fillings as well as facial pain and headaches.
Custom made night guards is a practical and comfortable way to protect your smile and provide comfort and relief. And if you had any cosmetic dentistry done, you also want to make sure you protect your investment.
White fillings, bonding, porcelain fillings and crowns are some of the ways we can repair broken down, worn or decayed teeth.
The aim of a tooth repair
✔️To prevent further spread of tooth decay
✔️To preserve tooth tissue
✔️To restore shape, form and function of a tooth
✔️To support weakened tooth structure
✔️To restore the appearance of a tooth
White fillings
White fillings are an easy and effective way to repair a decayed or broken tooth. They are made of a composite material which is metal free and can be matched to the colour of your teeth. White fillings are the best solution for small to medium repairs.

Porcelain fillings
This type of filling is sometimes referred to as an inlay or overlay and is custom made from porcelain. Porcelain fillings are a more durable solution compared to white fillings and is used for larger repairs and to protect weak or damaged teeth. This type of filling requires less tooth preparation than a crown and is therefore a more conservative solution.

Crowns
A crown is a tooth shaped covering or “cap” that fits over a tooth. It is a permanent solution to repair a damaged tooth where a composite or porcelain filling are not suitable. They are made of porcelain or ceramic and is made to mimic the adjacent teeth.

Dr Jansen provide emergency dental appointments for patients and also offer an out of hour service.
