My Story

With 20 years of experience, I am passionate about caring for my patients.

I graduated from the University of Pretoria in South Africa, achieving my BChD dental degree in 1999. I moved to England in 2000 following the love of my live Melinda, who is also a Dental Surgeon. We looked for a place to settle and found the pretty town of Bournemouth where we still live. It was here that I worked and where I had some of my happiest memories.

In 2004 I joined Thurlow and started building my practice from the ground up through word of mouth. The practice grew and when the opportunity came to buy the practice, I grabbed it with both hands. So it was in 2007 that I became joint partner of Thurlow Dental and Facial Aesthetics with my colleague Dr Justus Dirks.

It is during this time that I had the opportunity to train with the California Centre of Advanced Dental Studies (CCADS) honing my skills in advanced restorative dentistry.

I also did further training in Dental Implantology with the Royal College of Surgeons.

My special interest is Cosmetic Teeth Straightening and I am a certified Invisalign provider since 2007.

I am a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists (BACD).

Currently I am embracing the age of Digital Dentistry with the iTero intra-oral scanner and this should be a very exciting time for my patients and myself.
