The Art of Facial Aesthetics:

Products:
- Dysport, Azzalure® (botulinum toxin A), is the product Dr Dirks uses for facial line smoothing, a treatment to revitalise wrinkled skin, leaving a fresh, youthful appearance. This product has been available since the 1990’s and has licenses in 67 countries, including the UK and other European markets.
- Juvederm® (hyaluronic acid) Dr Dirks uses a product called Juvederm® . This product gives your lips and surrounding area a fuller, enhanced look which gives instant results. This is ideal for reshaping of or making fuller the lip area.
- Profhilo® is an Exiting new skin remodelling treatment that will give you visible results in just 2 visits. This treatment is great for people wanting to combat ageing or tired looking skin. Profhilo® is easy to administer and takes only 10 minutes, with 5 targeted sites, or into area of concern. It stimulates different types of collagen and elastin due to the slow release of hyaluronic acid. It is this stimulation which is responsible for bioremodeling (regenerating itself), resulting in significant improvement of tissue quality. It improves the the health of your skin, lifts and tightens the tissues and can be seen as a potential non-surgical facelift. Profhilo® is a 100% natural product with no added chemicals. Treatment: There’s a 4 week interval between each treatment. The results from the Profhilo® treatment will most often last for up to six months, but results can differ for each individual.

Treatments:
- Line reduction treatment:
- Most often done with botulinum type A. The regions of the face treated are frown lines between the eyes (area 1), forehead lines (area 2) and crows feet (area 3). Treatments last for approximately 3 months, but if you follow our advise regarding top-up dates it is very possible the space between treatments can increase.
- Viscoderm is a new and exiting product that can be used on some of the finer lines in these areas
- Lip Augmentation
- Hyaluronic acid is the product of choice for type of treatment. Lip treatments can vary from patient to patient depending on your preferences. It can be applied to fill up smaller undefined lips or used to create bigger more impressive lips. Treatments may last anything between 6 months to a year.
- Nasolabial and Marionette Lines:
- Also treated with hyaluronic acid, this area that stretched from the nose corners to the mouth and mouth corners downwards can be one of the most ageing characteristics. A loss of face volume in the cheek area and the effects of gravity can take it’s toll and create these shadowy folds. Treating these areas can be one of the most effective with an almost immediate effect. This treatment lasts from 6 months to a year.
- Hyperhidrosis:
- Hyperhidrosis is the medical term for excessive sweating. It refers to any abnormal sweating. People who sweat excessively often soak through their clothing or drip sweat. Regular antiperspirants don’t work well for those with this condition. Botulinum type A injections is a very effective and successful treatment for people suffering with hyperhydrosis. This treatment can often last 4-6 months.
- Masseter Reduction:
- This very effective treatment is used to reduce the size of the masseter muscle. The treatment can be used for a variety of reasons:
- Clenching and Grinding - due to excessive clenching and grinding the muscle can become hypertrophic (bigger and stronger), this can have a detrimental affect on a patients teeth. It can also be responsible for debilitating headaches. Using a night guard and introducing botulinum type A injections to weaken and relax the muscle slightly can make a world of difference.
- Facial Aesthetics - in certain cases if you have more pronounced masseter muscle prominence, relaxing and reducing the muscle can create a more feminine triangular face shape. Treatment lasts 4-6 months but varies significantly from patient to patient.
