With the help of digital photography, 3D scanning and virtual simulation software we can now plan and design a smile before we even touch a tooth.

The design can then be transferred to your mouth to preview the expected outcome.

Alternatively we can use the direct “mock-up” technique, where we add white filling material to your teeth to mimic the final result. These are all techniques to help you visualise the final outcome and involving you in the final design.

These preview techniques can also indicate how much preparation might be required to achieve the desired results. This is where teeth straightening can be be very helpful to move the teeth into a better position to allow us to do minimal preparation or additive veneers.
